it says i need to update windows to windows 10.1 as im on windows 8 apparently, but im actually on windows 11

when im playing games such as, any steam vr game, and cod. it says i need to upgrade windows as im apparently on windows 8 (which im not im on windows 11) and it just says its time to upgrade to windows 10 or windpws 11 and i cant play cod. please help
