steam vr failed initialization with error code unkown error 215

im new to vr so go easy ... i had had it working only to
try and use it today getting the above message .. i verified
the files and all was good.
would anyone have any suggestions? i have been using the link cable between headset/pc

for anyone having the same issue ... i found my internet setting in windows was set to public
and set it to private ... problem solved.

I've been trying to figure this out for over an hour and want to say thank you! I could not figure out what my issue was.

I tried this and it did not work, the error message keeps on showing up. but it worked fine as of 2 days ago, for this reply. But now I cannot connect my vr headset to my computer at all.

guys, i bought a newew router (because old router was very old ) and i have this error. I am using air link to connect oculus quest 2. What can i do?

This happened to me as well, went to Oculus settings menu, general, and set the Oculus as the default for OpenXR. Run steam vr on pc Then launch from QuestLink, not Steamlink. Worked for me with mod manager running.

i have tried steam link, quest link and blutooth but still nothing, i dont think they can see eachother. anyone know what im doing wrong?
