is steam link with the oculus better than the link cable with oculus killer?

i dont know if i should use steam link over air link / link cable and i havent even got it to work properly so im not sure if i just should use the link cable or persist and try to get the steam link to work

I'd say currently no, steam link is worse in some noticeable ways.
For example, unless the allow you to remove the fixed foveated rendering you lose a LOT of image quality outside of a narrow rectangle in the centre.

However if this doesn't actually bother you then its actually very usable and simple to use.

So if that would bother you like it does me, stick with what already works for you, if you are fine with it then give it a go.
