I'm also trying to determine this. I installed the Linux version of Steam Link hoping I could steam my Deck to it. I don't intend or expect to play VR games on the Deck and stream to my Quest 2, but I would like to use it for a virtual display for watching movies and other content when I'm traveling if there is some way to pull this off.

i know a few ways to connect my deck to my headset and play steam games on a big screen. and i know its possible to stream vr games to a headset through the steam deck. but does anyone know if it would work through the steam link app that just realesed on the quest store?

also Tyler if you want i can help you stream your flat screen games to a monitor in the headset if that's what you're looking for

[@BAM6] Like you asked above, I would also like to know if it is possible to share the Deck 2D display using the new Steam Link app, but if there is another way to stream flat Steam games from Deck to the Quest 2, that would do just what I'm looking for.

At this time, we do not support the streaming of 2D content directly with Steam Link on Quest.

If you side install android's version of steam link in quest 2/3 it runs like any other steam link android app and connects to your Linux PC to play 2d games. Both Steam Link android and Steam Link quest (VR) seem to be installed ok on quest. One directly on the menu, the other uglily under unknown sources.
I had to reconfigure buttons on my PS4 gamepad after installing and connecting by blutooth, but as long as you know it... it is an easy step.

This is exactly what I was hoping would be possible. Thank you eduardp!
