Glad I don't collect digital crap on Steam.
Quest 3 is coming out soon!
Knock me down if you want but VR has gone Stale.
I played Alyx, Superhot VR, Creed, Eleven Table Tennis, Power Beats VR, Saints & Sinners, etc. on my Oculus Rift. It is a great pity that games like Death Stranding and Horizion Zero Dawn are presented in a flat way.
The representation of characters is becoming more and more perfect, which is why series will soon also be available on Netflix VR. In addition, sporting events, news and concerts will be accompanied by VR cameras. Open XR leads to the goal.
And yes, I will buy the next Valve VR Glasses!
Cyberpunk 2077 on the 4090 with the VR mod is the best game experience I have ever had. All I want to do is get back to the game. I have spend >100 hours so far.
I hope that Valve will announce their new VR headset soon along with a proper plan to encourage AAA studios to add VR modes to their games / paid VR mods on steam etc.
The praydog mod is massive step in the right direction but Valve need to do something equally game changing.
There is a VR mod for Horizon zero Dawn and Death Stranding works great in VR using Vorpx.

I could need more games of that type in VR (because Open World Medieval Fantasy RPG is the only game genre that I am interested in.). But I am glad there is at least that one.
Unfortunately thats the game genre that has the highest development costs (100 million Dollars per game or more) and takes huge amounts of development time (5 or so years).
So, the only genre that I am interested in, is too expensive for a tiny market like VR. Also would take forever. Like if they start to develop the games today, they release them in 2028.
I don't see VR overtaking consoles till you can "jack in" like the Matrix though, because a lot of people would rather sit down in front of a screen than have to stand up and move around to play.
Surely there will be one or the other game that could be interesting (Arizona Sunshine 2, Into the Darkness, Intercept 2 , The 7th Guest ... but you won't play it for days or weeks .. and then the same ♥♥♥♥ again for Weeks & Month where noting happens.
From my point of view, VR is currently only interesting for newcomers. But for someone who has been playing VR for years, there is simply nothing really new. Even a Quest 3 will not change the fact that VR hangs in a hole. It's just a new pair of VR goggles, not more
Don't get me wrong, of course I accept your opinion. I just write here only my point of view
Edit"
Real question would be "do you think peoples posting those threads are brain dead"
