stuck at 72 hz quest 2 VD steamVR

Upgraded my rig and having an issue with framerate in steam VR. 7900 xtx / 5800x3d and did a fresh install of windows 11. In steam VR settings it only gives me one option for 72 hz. i have the quest 2, occulus app, and virtual desktop settings set to 120 hz.

Also have both ASW settings turned off using oculus debug tool I read that perhaps motion smoothing (similar to ASW) in Steam VR could be the issue but I cannot find it in the settings under general nor video. Does it still exist if so where has it been moved too?

In game (HL Alyx ultra) i am locked at 72 fps with 40% headroom and 10gb of 24gb vram being used. Any idea's guys? The only thing i got left is trying to disable motion smoothing, but haven't been able to find it yet.

Same here, RTX3080 running Quest 2 with 120hz supported, and Steam VR is capped at 72hz. Why?

most likely for compatibly reasons, also i recall seeing a Hz. option in the oculus software settings.

found the issue SteamVR does not support 120hz only 90hz :\

I’m having that issue as well with a 7900xt, running at 90hz but I only can get around 72fps… been fighting this for 2 weeks now, tried everything… older versions of AMD and steamVR drivers worked for a day maximum, then it comes back… I’m getting pretty annoyed… it ran good all 2024 until recently…
