quest 2 steam vr not putting me into the app

the first time i used airlink yesterday, steam vr worked perfectly and i was able to play hl2 in vr with the mod, the problem is that now when i open steam vr on virtual desktop, the only thing it does is open the window on the pc, it doesent put me into the app from the quest 2

Mines works fine. Launch virtual desktop in the quest 2, then launch steamVR within virtual desktop. use the system button from the quest 2 controller to open menu and hit launch steamVR

whats the system button? the one with 3 lines or the one with the oculus logo?

Try using only Link cable. Or start steamvr first then play the game from there wearing the headset all the time.

it works now, the solution is to open steam vr on your pc, when it says that there's no headset detected go into airlink on your headset and press the reset headset button, then after that steam vr will work every time

this isnt the problem. steam is detecting the headset, the headset isnt detecting steam.

A solution i have found if steamvr won’t work with quest 2 is to use airlink but then plug it into your computer with a cable and tell it to allow access to the quests files
