My guess is that you're not selecting the game when you start the streaming on Discord, but instead you select SteamVR which is NOT the game. SteamVR is just a software that acts as an in-between agent between games on Steam and the various possible VR heasets and/or software. Hence, that would be why they only see SteamVR on the stream because that software has no actual visual rendering to send to Discord (when that happens, Discord automatically just put the software name in view toward viewers.)
