OSVR SteamVR Setup
I recently got the OSVR HDK 1.4 after my 1.3 broke and I got a replacement (How nice of them- I got a complementary upgrade:steamhappy: although they did take a while to send it to me, so I think I deserve it), however after downloading the latest OSVR software and drivers, I can't get it to work with SteamVR. It worked fine on my 1.3, but now SteamVR doesn't even recognize the display unless I opt into a beta, which runs the SBS VR stuff on my desktop and not the headset. When I tried turning on VR mode in TF2, it crahsed when I hit the "enable virtual reality" button on the menu. I AM running the OSVR-server when trying all of this, and I installed the SteamVR plugin. Has anyone else with the latest OSVR software gotten SteamVR working? If so, how?

I managed to get my OSVR HDK 1.4 device to be recognized, but it won't run. It always gives me a "no compositor available" error and kicks me out, although it says the device is set up and ready. Not sure what steps to take next.

Yeah, I got it set up, but now I'm having the same problem. It'd be nice if SteamVR had native OSVR support... Or if you could spoof an HDK as an Oculus.

I don't know. It was working perfectly fine one day, then the next the screen wouldn't function, no matter what I tried. The rest of the unit was picked up by the computer, though. :/ I think I may have put the lenses in sunlight- I hear that can damage the screen.

Two things to check ourt are graphics drivers and osvr/steamvr plugins. For gpu driver info see: https://github.com/OSVR/OSVR-Docs/blob/master/Troubleshooting/RenderManager.md and for latest info on steamvr plugin for osvr support see: https://www.reddit.com/r/OSVR/wiki/steamvr

Yeah, I recently fixed the issue by updating the plugin. Now I have another issue, but I made a seperate thread for that.
