Theatre mode with Kodi/Netflix
Hello,

I'm trying to watch my favorite shows in theatre mode, because it really seems greet.
I've tryed to add Chrome for running Netflix and Kodi to my Steam Library, but when I run them in theatre mode, nothing happen. :(
I've already try to change the fullscreen modes from Kodi but that doesn't seems to change anything.

So is there anyone who could give me some hints on how the theatre mode works and how I could make Kodi and/or Netflix works using it?

Thanks for any help!

Here, when I get my vive this week, I'll post something constructive. I want those options too.

You know the SteamVR desktop view is a pretty good fake theatre in a pinch. Just change to a nice dark background. And it has inherent support for anything you'd throw at it.

Yes, I've seen that, it works but there is 3 issues compared to the theatre mode:
* The screen is smaller and closer, you don't feel like in a theatre with a huge screen, but in my own living room with a very large TV screen. (maybe it could be tweaked, but I've seen no option for that anywhere)
* I can't make dispear the background. I've tryed to make it solid color black, but still you seen a grid everywhere around you. (maybe there is a trick to clear it)
* The desktop mode with a full screen app works fine as long as you have only 1 screen, else you see the whole desktop with the 2 screens merged. So I need to disable the 2nd screen anytime I want to watch something.

Honnestly I really think that making works the theatre mode would be a better option: as it name seems means it, it looks designed for this exact purpose.

But my only concern is that I have absolutely no idea how it works, no clue to understand how I could fix it.

Tried using theatre mode to see a DOTA2 game yesterday. found some issues
1. where is my mouse cursor? I know it is there, every button got actived when cursor moving on it, but I have no idea where it is.
2. the screen flash some times, maybe cause dropped frames I don't know.
3. the desktop mode. I'm using 2 mscreens, so I cannot recognize any text on it.. too small to read.

So for those who were interrested by the topic, I've bought Virtual Desktop that ables me to do all that I wanted. So I strongly recommand it:
