The 110 SteamVR error

I cant open any VR app in Steam. I have the same error each time : "installation path could be not located (110)"

I can launch SteamVR, this error appears, but i cant do the room calibrate (no devices detected). Some forum speaks about a problem with users who have some special character in their username windows. But the last beta of SteamVR solve this problem... i dont find on the internet the same problem recently.

PS : French guys have a real bad english.

i create a new user session, without specitif character (Grégoire -> Gregoire) and all work...

So i think the last beta update doesn't fix this problem.

I have the exact same issue, I get the same error each time I start, and the room setup can't detect any devices (even though they are tracked and I can see them through the HMD in the SteamVR VR menu)

For me, it was a problem with having a foreign character in my windows username that messed up SteamVR for me
if you check cusers you will see there is created a new folder with a werdily typed version of your username

copy CUsersyour_proper_usernameAppDataLocalopenvr to CUsersyour_weird_usernameAppDataLocalopenvr

And you wont get that error when launching steamvr anymore about and everything should work

Yeah I got it to work after creating an account without ä and ö :) Silly bug, but the Vive is amazing!

En fait, il a eu le même problème que nous. Par exemple, les allemands ont aussi des caractères spéciaux. Donc il existe le même soucis ailleurs.

La solution : il faut croire que SteamVR créé un nouveau dossier dans "C:"/Utilisateurs

Et il suffirait de copier : "C:"/Utilisateurs/#nouveaunom/AppData/Local/openvr dans "C:"/Utilisateurs/#anciennom/AppData/Local/openvr

Et normalement, tout marche. Je n'ai pas encore eu l'occasion de tester, mais j'ai bien vu un nouveau dossier sans accent (en ce qui me concerne). Je vous tiens au courant.

Il y a une autre solution, ie démarer windows avec un nom utilisateur sans les accents français , je les fait et ça fonctionne, si mon nom utilisateur est André VR n'aime pas ça mais si c'est Tintin cela fonctionne, pour bien faire éviter les noms composer , je crois qui faut éviter les espace blanc, si il n'aime pas les accents français, il n'aime peut-être pas les espaces. éviter le c cedille ( ç)

quand je vais sur mon disque c je trouve utilisateur je clique dessus et j ai mon prenom qui apparait et je ne sais pas ou changer la nouvelle commande a la aplace de lancienne
