set a pulley-system with a ceiling fan?
I live in a hotter area and even during winter, having a fan on slow is still a good idea
I have a small bedroom about 3m x 4m I think
with my computer desk and my PC desk, I only have the minimum 2m x 1.5m for roomscale
(maybe a few cm for breathing room)
so I've opted for a ceiling fan instead of anything to use any more floor space, yes, I even got rid of my dresser so I could have roomscale instead of standing
so, how can I have a pulley-system without removing my ceiling fan? can't have a desk fan because of the temperature
while I've used to have a tripping hazard everywhere, I'm mostly worried about the cables
I want to avoid tangling as best as I can (TurnSignal) and still be able to use my (very limited) roomscale for crouching and dodging and such

What exactly do you want pulleys for?

What part of SteamVR do you want to put onto those pulleys?

not trying to be snarky, I just don't know why you need to ask, it should be pretty self explanatory

a pulley system would let me attach the cords to a out-of-the-way location and still give me full mobility and stuff

Look into VRWire. They say it can work around small ceiling fans, albeit they have to be turned off obviously for safety reasons. I use their pulley system and I absolutely love it once the tension is dialed correctly. It genuinely feels weightless. The Kiwi pulley I had set up prior was complete garbage and always felt like it was fighting against me which I promptly and destructively removed off my ceiling.

I would advise also contacting the guy that runs the store page. He's super chill and should be able to answer your questions about your room setup to see whether his system will work.

I had that system back when I had the Oculus CV1, and the cable got so twisted it broke. it's a good idea, but instictively we always turn the same direction left or right
Now that i Have my HP G2 the cable is on the floor where I can see the twists in it.

You turning constantly around in the same direction and not keeping track of your rotation is not the pulley system's fault. User error.

I knowbut it's instictive, it seems everyone that played a roomscale game with my headset did the same, it was clockwise or counter depending on left handed or right

On the first days I used a garden lamp holder from Ikea, but I did too much try and error to set it up properly. Now I go wireless. Vive and Quest are wireless, and someone is working on the Index to get it wireless too, but it is not to happen soon.

Ceiling fans are not a good combo...
I once decided I would just toss my cord up over the ceiling fan since the fan wasn't on and I didn't have a pulley system, midway through a game of Pavlov I forgot my cord was wrapped around a fan blade and I bent down to pick up a gun....
But yea that foolhardy endeavor aside, I just don't see any situation where a ceiling fan is going to allow for raised cables, unless you were using some kind of microphone stands (or similar) to raise the cable above you while still remaining below the fan, assuming your ceilings are even that high as most probably aren't.

that's why I want a pulley system
it was not suppose to be a simple shoelace in the ceiling
anything from badge reels or elastic tape you can buy as office supplies
and even professionally made system specific for VR like Cheezus Crisp suggested
either your cable or the ceiling fan you had, they would not be cheap to fix or buy a new one, that I know
but one is mass produced and get be found at any home and garden hardware store
the one can only be bought online or at affiliated store and have a lot more electronic component crammed inside that it suppose to be able to
either way, you should not happy-hazardly do improvised stuff without testing thoroughly beforehand, or asking for people with more experience for help
it did turned out you where the "I'll test it out so you don't have to" in this situation
