I tried to plug the hdmi and usb from the VIVE directly to my PC, I've unistalled and installed again my GPU drivers, steam and steamVR.
I don't understand what's wrong.
I really don't understand what's wrong.

Btw I've tried to launch vrmonitor.exe as administrator but nothing change.
Unplug all cables from your PC. This includes any cables from the Link Box and any cables from controllers that are charging.
Launch Steam from your Start menu, desktop, or taskbar.
Click the VR button to start SteamVR.
Click the dropdown arrow next to SteamVR.
Click Settings.
Click Developer.
Click Remove all SteamVR USB Devices. You might have to scroll down a bit to find it.
Click Yes.
Click Continue.
Restart your PC.
Once your PC has booted back up, ensure that Steam isn't running. Plug the Link Box and your Vive's cables back into the PC, but use a different USB port for your HMD.
Once everything is plugged in, go ahead and launch Steam and SteamVR. Drivers will now be reinstalled, and you hopefully won't see the annoying error again.
1) Checked all Windows, Steam, Vive, and GPU (1080, fyi) drivers, and confirmed they're all current & updated correctly;
2) Removed and reinstalled SteamVR USB devices (w/ vrmonitor.exe run as Admin, yes) ;
3) Backed up titles/saves, and then reinstalled SteamVR entirely;
4) Checked all connections, confirmed correct placement and that none were loose, etc. (even inside the HMD);
5) Power-cycled the box (unplug from pwr, waited mins, replugged);
6) Confirmed that relevant settings in the SteamVR: Dev tab (Direct Mode, no beta, etc.) were correct;
7) and even rebooted between EACH step, just in case it helped. (It didn't, apparently.)
At this point, I've sent a documented service ticket up the line in a Hail Mary of IDK;WTF of a flickering hope that Steam/HTC figure this BS out, and asap. Especially since it seems to have been recognized as "a known issue" since launch :/ (!?)
