Steam vr missing a key component

When i try to launch my vr it just says that a key component of steam vr is missing and then links me to steam vr support. it doesn't tell me whats going on and my usb power and display port to mini display port are all plugged in.

Then the best thing to do is just download the installer for Steam again,..

Prior to re-running the installer, Uninstall STEAMVR first and then reinstall steam and then SteamVR.

This should re-install any missing component your system is missing.

so do i uninstall steam and then reinstall steam vr

Library \ Tools \ SteamVR ......point at SteamVR, right click, select Properties from drop-down menu. On Local Files tab select Verify Integrity of Tool Cache.
