and disabled my Razer Synapse. Now my SteamVR works perfectly fine.
Every time since yesterday (14th) when I run steamvr, steam stops responding so by the time steamvr loads, i cannot run any games. Then when I close vr, I have go into the task manager and end process trees so I can restart steam :/
It was just my SteamVR. Idk what happened to your Steam, but there have been so many bugs and errors since their latest update, so I'm assuming they shall fix it soon.
Here are the things I tried yesterday for your reference since we had different type of problems:
- Update the GeForce Game Ready Driver (if you are using GeForce Experience)
- Revert SteamVR to the beta version (go to SteamVR properties-BETA-and check the drop down menu-beta)
- Check conflicting software(s) and turn it/them off.
Tried switching to and from beta versions of both and unloading software.
It's clearly update related as, although there are some stuff that loads with window that i usually disable before i start using vr i don't really need to.
It's just weird how I can use steam no problem, until i load up vr and then unless I quickly cancel the loading of steamvr, steam with lock up.
Actually I've just had a thought...
Removed it from startup and it seems to be back to normal
