How do i change my desktop game resolution while in VR?
while playing vr games like phasmophobia and superhot the game on my desktop is in 720p so if i try to record my gameplay or stream it, it is 720p how do i change the resolution the game shows up in on my desktop.

I'm gonna go on a limb & say you change the Resolution from your Desktop?
---->> I'm pretty sure the VR Headset probably has a Pre-Set or somewhat
lower Resolution then your supposed Desktop might have, so my guess is that
your VR Headset is Pre-Set and doesn't change?

But I could be wrong.

I think you need to find a way to set your recording to something other than a desktop capture, or figure out a way to convince your computer you have a better resolution desktop (honestly, I would just buy a used 1080p or better monitor, it's not that much of an investment, and maybe you can get one with a busted backlight or something for super cheap and then just use virtual desktop to actually run your monitor). You may be able to override your monitor settings somehow, but if it still exists then it's been moved from where Windows had it a decade ago.

If you're somehow running on a desktop set at 720p but that's not the actual monitor's native resolution, then get into your display settings and max it out. And yeah, that's going to load your graphics card down more, but you can't get around that.

Either by lowering native resolution of your desktop (a real pain in the ar*e for people using desktop enhancements like me, like rainmeter, stardock fence, custom panels and so on - as they will shift around and break in position and scale/resolution), or by doing a very simple trick, which I figured out by playing HL:Alyx the first time: Simply size down your reflecting game window at your desktop. Done.
