Can the dongles for Vive trackers be in a different room than the trackers?

I've recently moved my setup around and now my computer is in a separate room to my vr and I am wondering if I'm going to need to find a way to get the dongles for full body trackers in the same room as the trackers, or if they'll perform just fine being in a different room. The room is not far away, just on the other side of a wall.

It's Bluetooth (or close to that), so the signal goes through normal paper thin inner walls of many houses. Might not go through load-bearing walls like outer walls or (usually) bathroom/kitchen walls. How well they work depends also on other BT and WiFi devices (as they work on same frequency band), but they should work at least on some degree through wall. I suggest you test them, and get USB extension if they don't work good enough.
