You may have to pay for the "Premium Occulus" thing, but it lets you use the occulus on SteamVR. Three things though, one. Your computer better be really good because you have to run a VR headset on your computer and run the game. Two, you need at least a 3GB cord that is long enough to get to your headset and probably with some extra room so you don't yank your computer. And lastly, setting this up, is a headache and a half.

you don't need a super good pc to play vr,
I play on a 1050ti (4gb of vram) Intel I7-7700HQ @ 2.80 GHZ with 16 gb of ram, on a laptop

and it runs fine

I had a CV1 before and yes you have to first get into oculus game menu and click your steam app to start steam VR THEN you should look at your steam game menu because oculus has to run your headset first, steam is just another game app to oculus menu... if that makes any sense lol

Honestly, I have no idea what laptop specs mean. I just know I don't have a good enough computer. Because I know people that know that stuff, don't ask me for specs. I'm not gonna find them. Mostly because I don't care enough. Anyway, hope the app helps. It got my brother's to work.

It means that the components are often weaker than their desktop counterparts to save on battery life and heat. And that guy is probably reprojecting 100% of the time. But if he doesn't notice or mind it, more power to him I guess.

Yes and no. The issue is the same as pc gaming, different games will require different specs. for instance I imagine on max detail.

Half life:alyx will struggle with a 1050ti.

Ive just looked through your list of games, your not really running any intensive VR games. Subnautica possibly being the most spec heavy one, and its not that spec heavy.
