SteamVR Fail error 119

Lately I've been receiving this issue with Steam VR when I launch it from steam, SteamVR has encountered an unexpected problem. Please visit SteamVR Support for more info. (119).

Because of this issues it doesn't appear that i can change my settings or update my firmware.

I've tried reinstalling Steam VR and also tried using the Beta, but I still get this error. the Strange thing is that when I launch a game like Windlands 2 it works fine, it's just SteamVR that fails.

I've already updated my graphics card drivers as well.

I use a Valve Index, Intel i7-9700k, 32gig Ram, Nvidea RTX 2080Super Driver 471.41

No it's still not fixed, I'm going to send a support to Steam to see if they can help me out

yeah i tried that but they just tell you to delete every program on your pc to see if somthing is messing with steamvr

My issue has been fixed, I've updated the BIOS on my motherboard, and it now functions again, but during this process i also unplugged the Display port from my Graphic card and I can't remember if i plugged it back into the same port which might be a solution to try out as well if you're having the same issue.

Verifying the data under -right click, properties, local data- did the trick for me.
In my case I did that for steam vr and windows mixed reality for steam vr.

Anyone got a fix? Already tried updating bios unplugged all other monitors except main one tried different hdmi ports factory reset PC with fresh install of windows and steam still getting same error. Try to open steam VR and it immediately crashes with error 119

I get it with just regular games. My VR isn't set up to work right now as I'm working on a new computer room. VR just don't work when you are sitting in bed using a 75 inch TV as a monitor. LOL. Reason for the new room slowly getting done.

Some of my 700+ games work fine, others will fire up fine, but then Steam crashes as soon as they load up. I do hope they fix this soon. The game I play as I go to sleep (music puts the dog and me to sleep), is one of the affected games. Thankfully I have it saved from another game site, so I can still play the non Steam version, but I bought it again to play it via Steam. Sick of seeing it crash. Along with so many other games I've tried, too many to count.
