Steam VR view is broken, help?
I am having an incredibly frustrating issue. Steam vr view will not let me see out of my right eye. If the right eye is selected, it shows the left eye. If I select the left eye, the whole view shifts over leaving this black bar on the right. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/E6E95O9VgAMtOgj?format=jpg&name=small I can not find a fix for the life of me.

1. What headset are you using?
2. Does this happen in any games?

This doesn't happen in the headset. It only happens in the steam vr view. It doesn't change when I launch a game. I stream so it's important for my viewers.
I have a samsung odyssey +

I would make sure you have the latest GPU drivers, and then maybe try toggling SteamVR and possibly the Windows Mixed Reality Driver to beta, and/or if you can do the same for the WMR runtime in the Microsoft Store or wherever it is found.

I'm sadly under-equipped in knowledge about the WMR system as I don't own any hardware for that platform, but as VR software is in constant flux due to developments it would not surprise me if there is a disconnect somewhere. Especially as we're mixing two platforms when running WMR with SteamVR.

I am having a similar problem. I am trying to record both eyes, but when you select "both eyes" in the VR View, it shows the left eye twice. If I watch a video recording of it, it just shows a flat view of the left eye, rather than stereo-optic 3D view, like what should be displayed.
It seems VR View doesn't like the right eye for some reason.

If anyone has a solution, That should solve both of our problems.
What are the chances a dev would see this? This bug has probably been in there for years.

In a typical scenario why are you trying to record VR view anyways? If you intend to use your gameplay footage for a video or content the game should display a screen from itself.
