When Motion controllers can replace my Xbox controller as the only controller I need to play games inside and outside of an HMD. IS when PCVR will finally take itself seriously.
I don't know why the rest of these morons can't seem to figure out that the controller being complete crap is one of the primary reasons for VR's slow crawl.
People should be fired over the Index Controller.
UI prompt on screen, pick one.
Press X
Press Left A

KISS. You know what that acronym stands for.
Due to incompetence in charge of controller designs feeling the need to "Change" it on behalf of people who are so tired of pressing buttons to play games. VR Gaming is focused on people who hate playing games. It's really dumb.
When Buttons and Motion in general can co-exist together without inteferring with one another.
IE. The inclusion of more buttons on the controller does not stop Motion support from happening.
Not every game I play with an Xbox controller makes use of the D-pad. Does that mean Xbox controllers should remove the d-pad?
That's what VR controllers said. "Let's Delete buttons" Even though the Quest 2 controller has MORE than enough space to continue to provide them. Just so you could get a spot to "rest" your thumb. Because apparently some people can't touch a joystick without it pushing out from center.
Even though Millions of gamers have been resting their thumbs on top of thumbsticks for 20 years now with Xbox controllers. Nope, a dedicated thumb rest was more important than parity with a modern day gaming controller inputs.
Do yourself a huge favour and don't engage with his ridiculous nonsense. do yourself a favour...block him and move on.
but i laughed so it was worth it
1. buy 3 or more projectors and build a stand for them so they can project a complete 360degree room to stand in.
2. build a custom pc to run all three or more projectors and that will keep you at good fps.
"water cooled " as your temps will be warmish
3. may need to look at getting a wireless adapter for your VR so not tangled with wires, as you want to have free movement
4. find a way to mount your VR to your head comfortably
5. next developer mode display what you see on screen.
other tips good aircon in room as projectors will generate heat.
this setup you may need to get a small loan from the bank as it will depend on how amazing you want it.
projectors would be best as this will make your room look like what you see.
TV's and monitors ruin immersion.
also note.
if you dont have a round room you can always get a carpenter to build sum round frames to make a round room.
post sum pics would love too see how it turns out
