Valve Index ordered, best first game?
I ordered my Index ~a month ago (on week 4), and was curious as to what my first game should be. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Unfortunately my brother ordered the Index, not me. Because of this, I won't have Alyx in my library.

Are you new to VR? If so, then try The Lab. It was designed to be the first VR game (for HTC Vive, the first SteamVR headset). It's a nice small game that contains many mini games showing what VR is and what can be done in VR. Then you know what to expect from VR and can browse proper games with a different perspective.

I've used a PSVR before, and have used a friend's Vive. I'm not super new, so I have my VR Legs and all that :p

How about using Steam Family Sharing? It would make even more sense if you share the PC where the headset is attached. I use that feature with my girlfriend (two PCs and two headsets though). I rarely play her other games, but I occasionally play her VR games. No need to buy duplicates. She owns and play more rhythm games (like beat saber), so i lend her copies in those rare occasions I want to play that kind of games.

I could try that, but he frequently plays games for multiple hours on end. Because of this, I couldn't use Family Sharing.

Call me oldkool...but knock him out?
Start with some tech demo's if you're new to VR. The Lab, AirCar, PortalVR etc. Don't jump into something that requires too much attention.

My first move would be "The Lab"

Don't forget to have your games downloaded and SteamVR installed so you dont have to wait the day it's delivered.

Half-Life: Alyx and Lone Echo are some of the best games I would want to play, however I've heard some say they are so good they will spoil other VR games for you.

Never have been interested in the FNAF series. Got boring pretty fast.

It'd be an intense first experience, but I'd be up for it. How does Elite work with the Index? Have hands and everything?
