Index controller won’t charge

I don’t know if my controller is broken or not but every time I charge it, it won’t charge and I keep getting a power surge error message. I have also tried a different power supple like my Xbox and my cube for my phone charger. I also tried changing the cords with my other controller to but that didn’t work. And my other controller works perfectly fine when charging in my PC.

When I first got my Index controllers the left hand one would not take a charge.
You can force it to reset itself by turning the controller off and then holding the power button for 20 seconds. After that my controller was fine.

Also I never charge my controllers off my PC. It never seems to work. Instead I bought a UGreen 3 port USBC high current phone charger.
