Bluetooth is refusing to work
So, i'm trying to get my base stations (SteamVR Tracking 2.0) to connect to my computer via bluetooth for:

1) being put in standby mode when not used (less power consuption)
2) firmware updates

but i keep getting the error "Bluetooth connection failed. Check link box connections, unplug and replug power to the link box to reset it, then restart SteamVR" but nothing seems to happen, i just now got once the error code "bt-112" but it has since disappeared and i dont get it anymore

i just don't understand what the hell is up here, i've tried reinstalling the bluetooth drivers for link box, reinstalling all drivers related to vr, removing the bluetooth adapter i'd normally use for bluetooth (link box is meant to have bluetooth) and completely reinstalling all vive related software, but nothing works, i cannot get this bluetooth

I got my vive pro on christmas eve, at which point the 1.9.16 update was live, so it is the only version i've ever used of steamvr and this error has occured since i got it

Everything works fine and i have no issues with VR really, other than the really odd occasional total loss of tracking (??????) and there's no particular issue with my base stations, other than them being always on

please help me

sounds like a smart workaround, but there's still no phone or OTA firmware updates, and i'm not getting a replacement since from what i've seen, it seems to be an issue with the steamvr 1.9 update

I don't understand your situation. You have the Vive Pro HMD and Link Box, right? Once you turn on the Link Box and start up Steam VR, it should just wirelessly pick up the powered base stations, and then you can change its settings in Steam VR.

If you have tracking issues with Steam VR Tracking 2.0, you either have a very large, cramped room or the stations are set up in bad places. Try placing the stations closer to the Link Box.

The stations should also have a micro USB port on them, for which I thought you can use for firmware updates. Why do you need Bluetooth for firmware?

The issue isn't tracking or connecting to the base stations, the issue is with the bluetooth actually working, and no i will not unmount and remount my base stations every time there's a firmware update because that's too much work

And besides, even if i unmount them for wired firmware updates (or keep a long micro-usb behind them always connected) and i get a wireless power switch, there's still the fact that i can't use my phone to get notifications

But yes, i have a vive pro hmd and a vive pro link box, the issue seems to be installing the drivers necessary to use bluetooth
