Bluetooth adapter for Vr.... recommendations ?
Ive had to deal with my recent bluetooth 5.0 not being listed as radio. so my question is what bluetooth is best for Vr gaming that is known/in use by any users commenting.

currently my device can pickup acer reality controllers but the device doesnt register as working
the options are "not connected" & "disabled" there is a Kernel-Pnp 411 error and only one driver that was released for the adapter

I know 5.0 has faster and cleaner detection with less mixed reading so if there are any with a high device count that are known to work for Vr, specifically steamVr_settings_device_bluetooth so I can actually turn on the feature would be helpful

Bluetooth for VR? You don't need any BT adapters for your computer for VR use as only BT adapters you can use are included in your VR set. You can't use any 3rd part adapters.

The BT in the SteamVR settings mean only the BT that is used to power manage and update base stations that is located in the link box of Vive or Vive Pro, or inside the Valve Index. In case you don't have any one of those three headset then you can't use base station power management as it's not a standard bluetooth. You can't use any other BT dongle for that. Controllers are connecting to headset directly and Trackers need their own dongle.

Pimax 8k+, I ordered the kit but they only sent the headset. so I ordered two valve 2.0 basestations and Acer mixed reality controllers that dont seem to make things any easier to get started with any companies setup for room scale.
So I dont quite know exactly what this link box is your mentioning but the only thing that is attached to my headset cable feeding to the pc has hdmi integrated and a power jack on one end. The other side has the two lines I need for the HDMI and USB.

If there is something im missing then I wouldnt know what to look for.
The bluetooth 5.0 dongle I bought lets my pc add the acer controllers
but says its either OFF or Not connected despite picking up bluetooth devices.

when i'm opening steam vr and go to the /// menu_devices_bluetooth it says its not available. and there is no checkbox to turn anything on.

my PiTool app apparently cant pickup the acer mixed reality controllers while the SteamVr setup doesnt work with them either despite being paired up to my pc. so I get stuck at the Point and pull trigger phase of my room scale setup

Linkbox is between the headset and the PC in Vive and Vive Pro headsets, Pimax headsets dont' have that. Pimax users can't power manage base stations as you lack the BT device to do that. You can complain that to Pimax, they decided not to add that feature to the headset. I haven't seen them doing anything about it or anybody getting general BT device working, but I have seen people fruitlessly trying in other forums. That just means you Pimax users need to update your base stations with a cable and you need to manually turn them on/off. BT is not needed on normal operation.

You can't use windows mixer reality controllers in SteamVR without a WMR headset. Those are tracked by the WMR headset's cameras, not by the base stations. You can use only controllers that use SteamVR tracking (base stations) with Pimax, and those are Vive and Vive Pro wands, or Index controllers (in addition to Pimax's own controllers if they ever release those).

I use one from UGREEN, absolutely basic. And I never had a problem with many others that I have been using.
