Avegant Glyph
I have a Avegant Glyph, bought it without even knowing it had a VR setting but low and behold, it does. Is it possible to force SteamVR to run without an approved HMD? Im not even worried using its motion sensors, just forcing steam games to play in "parallel projection" with a keyboard and mouse? Is it possible with steamVR or any other known software/method? No loss if it isn't but would be neat additional function to this HMD. Its purely HDMI connection wise just FYI. Thanks

It's possible to register third party headsets with SteamVR using the OpenVR API, and such drivers don't need any particular approval. AFAIK SteamVR doesn't have a concept of an untracked headset (but hybrids have been done with added on tracking, e.g. Nolo) and I'm not sure any such driver exists for your particular HMD, though. Many games capable of VR or flat mode also support a variety of 3D modes, which may well be a better fit. Native VR-only games frequently don't even support keyboard and mouse input.
