(Oculus Rift CV1) IPD display popping up constantly, even after steamvr updates

I'm going insane, I've tried all the tricks I did before and it doesn't work. Everybody else seems to have resolved this issue, either by fixes or because steamvr fixed the issue. Anybody else having this issue or is it just because my rift is ♥♥♥♥♥♥?

I think it is actually something to do with steamvr. i have wmr acer unit which doesnt even have an ipd slider and sometimes, very rarely mine pops up when reaching for my head with my current software ipd setting.

thats interesting actually, because i know that mine is only happening because the lense is slightly loose on the right side. maybe it's the same with yours? i'm just trying to find a software solution because i'd rather not crack my rift open.

my lenses are in a fixed position no ipd slider or eye relief, as basic as it comes. do you mean actually mechanicly loose? i thought it had something to do with the controller coming up to either side lf my head like some kind of hot key guesture.

yeah physically loose, i can tell you it's definitely not a gesture thing in my case because if you tap your headset on the side WITHOUT a controller it still does it. could be the same issue for you, idk :/

hmm interesting ive never tried without the controller in hand. ill give it a go later tonight and get back to you. make alot of sense because with wmr controller snd that massive ring arohnd i have clapped myself in the hmd afew times and its has popped up.
