Steam VR BaseStation - Strange tracking bug
Hi guys.

So, i have just bought an Index, and i've set up my baseStations 2.0 on the walls opposite eachother, and it seems i am still getting some strange Tracking issues.

now, one of my basestations is just above my curtain rail, and i want to know, how low down do the lasers come out of the basestation, and does anyone have a diagram or link to something that would show this for me. Like, the field of view of them. i'm not sure if a couple of the lasers are touching the pole or something. IS there a way to physically see the lasers?

Also, it may sound silly, but can the basestations be "too close"? they are diagonal from eachother, but my play space isn't that big. perhaps i've just not placed them properly?

I also have to "draw" my playspace over my bed slightly for it to work, could this be causing my tracking to get confused? I must state that i am in PLAIN view of one or both trackers clearly when i have the issues.

I get a strange tracking issue where one one my handles will just fly away in one direction for about a second, then it comes back. But sometimes it will do it for a bit longer.

it is a brand newly bought Valve Index with Brand new controllers and SteamVR 2.0 baseStations, and all the firmware is up to date.

i appreciate the time taken to read this :)

The lasers, no. But use the camera of your phone to see the emitters. Maybe the laser bounce on the polished pole. If you see the lasers reflected in the pole, then test to cover them with something. Anyway, the bases must be set looking at you, some grades down. And move and turn around the controllers before you test the bases, that way they get the ability to see everything before you test them. Sorry about my poor English.
