SteamVR

Due to a recent crash - some addons blocked - GAMEPAD SUPPORT
How do I fix that? Installed Xbox360 drivers for wired controller, but can't get rid of that message.
It's the only Add-On shown.

Edit: Btw, I do not have a gamepad connected rn.

Same here...

I'm having this issue too. sigh. but I'm using a steelseries controller, and steam is also blocking htc_rr (whatever that is). even unblocking only Gamepad Support, it still crashes. wtf

I'm getting exactly the same as macrocephalia - Gamepad support and htc_rr, even though I never unblock them and htc_rr is turned off. SteamVR complains every time I launch it.

Same here. SteamVR keeps blocking the Gamepad Support plugin. Whatever is causing it to crash, I wish they would fix it. It's been several months.

Since noone's posting a workaround in here (I looked everywhere and all I see are "I have the same issue" posts like this), I will for anyone who's still having this issue pop up upon launch of SteamVR.
Basically go to your SteamVR folder in Steam (Steam/steamapps/common/SteamVR).
Go to the 'drivers' folder and delete the 'gamepad' folder. I'd advise you have SteamVR closed before you do this, just incase.

The error disappears after that. They're never going to fix the issue. All you can do is remove the drivers and 'fix' it on your end.
Had the same issue with the old Input Emulator program (to use Playspace Mover). Now you gotta use OVR for it, which is actually good since setting up Playspace Mover was a bit of a pain.

Thanks Benie! Though I assume this fix would mean you can't play VR games with a gamepad?
