Does glass from monitor and pc-case effect tracking?
My case has tempered glass, and monitor is also has glass. Should I cover them whilst using VR? I have experienced intermittent greyscreen issues, and i'm not sure if it's due to the glass or due to overheating, or some combination of the two.

I got a glass door with my new PC, but also Vive Wireless Adapter, not sure which is causing my gray screens but I suspect the glass door. I'll try to find something to cover it up with. And if it's actually the culprit, get some frosted film and put on it... or something 🤔

I tried covering both with sheets of cardboard. Turns out it wasn't the issue. Eventually realised that the problem only occurred after 20-30 minutes of playtime, and figured it was overheating, so I set up a fan pointed at me on the highest setting and that solved it. 2.5+ hour session and no grey screens.

The overheating is most likely due to me living in an area with temps on any given day exceeding 25 degrees outside, and 30 inside my computers' room.

edit: point being that my monitor and tempered glass window on my computer case had no effect, at least in terms of causing grey screens.

Interesting, meanwhile I live in the Nordics so I doubt I have overheating issues 🤣 I'll also try covering things up the next time I jump in, maybe it will help me at least 😅
I personally have a nzxt h500. The glass on the case dos not affect tracking in my situation. It may be different for you but you should be far more concerned with infrared light. Heating bulbs and most remotes would likely be the cause of your issues issues.

Bright sunlight also causes issues in larger spaces from my experiences.

Not sure if you're talking to me, but I have had my Vive since launch day in any case, and the tracking has been stellar, it's only after getting the new case and/or Wireless I've had tracking glitches. I'm trying two things now, I replaced the super thin cable that came with the Wireless adapter with the link box one, and I'll cover up my PC case glass side.
