I wish I knew what this command is actually doing. . . Whatever it does, It's definitely not something that happens under restart, startup, and sometimes even setup conditions.
- Isn't visible = it doesn't put out any IR laser sweeps or sync pulses
- Channel config etc = goes via Bluetooth, a separate connection
Basically, it could be mechanically defective but still be detected and configured over Bluetooth.If you use a digital camera or your camera phone and walk up close to the active base station, you should see the dark red/purple glow of the IR emitters, compare between your two stations if that looks similar or not.
