nearly the same point here, with al little difference:
- ingame (Boneworks) went all fine (no problems so far) but i think all in all it's looks a little lower resolution
- ingame (Boneworks) the loading title stutterings very ugly as well as
in the main menu or in the menus of steamVR i have the stuttering effect too.
my system has a gtx 1070 and htv vive pro
First it was Oculus, and their dreadful v12 drivers, now it's the latest SteamVR update ?
All us VR owners are trying to make out VR is amazing, it is, and these problems are making VR look unappealing.
Yesterday, I was playing Project Cars, Dirt Rally games, Elite Dangerous, No Man's Sky, all running perfectly. Then, late in the morning, 3am, a new SteamVR update forced download and now soooo many problems.
Firstly, what the heck is this Steamworks workshop rubbish ? It won't stop trying to download, I don't want or need this crap. It's over 8Gb in size, I have never had it or needed it, yet it's trying to force a download that I don't want.
Then, in SteamVR, none of the environments work for me. There are none to download, it's empty. None of the backdrops are working, again they're empty. If I goto the Steam game wall, in VR, there are no icons for the previously played games, and it says Steam not found.
Some Steam VR-capable games are now not working in VR. Dirt Rally games only allow me to launch in cinematic (???) mode ?
Christ, what a mess.
But it stutters incredibly bad with low frames all the while the overlay is opened.
But the steamvr menu is jittering when opened in game, regardless of the refresh rate. when I have no game loaded menu look fine. Loading screen in game are also jittering like crazy but once loaded everything is fine at 100% resolution and 120hz
-On loading screens in-game
-When I open the SteamVR UI, it doesn't matter if I'm inside my steam home or inside a game.
I like to prepare for the worst.
