VR Dashboard? Advanced Settings? WHERE!!??
I'm having an issue with the left display screen in my Index. VERY prominent colored vertical lines. Steam Support is trying to resolve the issue, but it's now day three and I still can't use my Index. Basically so far they have only responded once a day.

In the last response they wrote this:

" We've enabled some corrective changes that are applied automatically - these should improve the column behavior. If the issue is still impacting your experience, you can open the VR dashboard in SteamVR and navigate to display settings. Under the Brightness slider, click Show Advanced Settings. This will provide you with adjustment sliders for each panel, which can be changed separately or in tandem. You can reset defaults with Use Recommended Advanced Settings, and opt out of the correction entirely by unchecking the Column Correction box. "

A google search says I can access the "VR Dashboard" by pressing the "system button" on the controller. I don't have controllers as I only use the Index for sim racing.

Inside the HMD I see something that looks like a dashboard at the bottom of the viewing area, including a 'System" option, but when I use the button on the HMD to access it the only options it shows are "reset seated position" and "exit VR". The time is also displayed in this bottom section. Just above the time are three buttons. One each for "Steam" "Dashboard" and "Settings" Is this what you are calling the Dashboard?

When I click on settings there it lists "General" "Play Area" "Controllers" "Video" "Audio" "Startup/Shutdown" "Camera" and "Developer". There is nothing titled "display settings" in any of those options. There is a slider titled "Display brightness". But there is nothing anywhere titled "Show Advanced Settings".

HELP!! :steamsad:

I couldn't find it either, but I found something close. I went on my flat monitor, opened up the steamVR settings you mention in your last paragraph, and lo and behold, waaay below "developer", in the bottom left corner of the window, in greyed out text that's trying to hide, is "Advanced Settings" and a SHOW/HIDE slider. When set to SHOW it seems to add more adjustments to each of the above tabs.

The options it enables my be HMD specific... I have VIVE and didn't see what Valve told you to look for. I don't have a "display settings" (!) or brightness slider.

Hi Bob, thanks for trying to help. I knew about that function, but considered it irrelevant because it doesn't contain any of the functions Steam Support is referring to. This really is much harder than it should be!?

Im in the same situation and just got the same copy paste answer from steam support.
I found the settings and played around with it but with 0 effect.

Did you end up RMA'ing the headset or did they manage to find a fix? Would appreciate an update so I know what Im in for as I wait for support to answer again.
