I have a secondary 1060 set up like that to supplement the primary 2080 for demanding games and to handle the encoding for Steam's Remote Play feature.
I've since come to realize, that is apparently not advised. I ended up plugging my headset back into my main GPU, same as my Monitor.
Did find, however, a setting buried somewhere in one of the Steam menus while in Steam VR that allowed me to change the "target resolution" from 1080p to 720p.
My desktop display is 1080p and I was really worried I'd notice the difference in VR going from 1080p to 720p, but honestly I can not tell the difference.
I don't know if that setting in steam made ANY difference to how No Man's Sky is rendered or not, and I am not 100% sure changing that setting in Steam from 1080p to 720p makes NMS render any different at all.
May have been pure coincidence that now NMS seems to run better, I don't know. I was doing a lot of testing, switching plugs around, starting and stopping VR and maybe that was making NMS into a near slide-show.
I've since been playing it for several hours, and it seems to be running pretty good, so I'll be leaving that Steam Setting at 720p for now.
I'd be interested if anyone knows if that setting I found is JUST for the Steam VR interface or if it actually affecting how games are rendered that launch through Steam VR.
If I can figure out how to do it IN VR, I'll try to get a screen capture of that setting page so it is more clear as to what setting I am referring to.
Thanks again for any tips,
I really do appreciate it :)
