HTC VIVE Stuttering and FPS drop after update fix
Hello i came across a tempoary fix for vive users myself included who have ran into massive stuttering and frame rate drops when non was there before, as this seriously made it back to before the update happened.

the solution for this is as follows:

1. Opt out of any beta's that you are currently in.

2. Open steamvr and go to settings.

3. Under General uncheck "Launch SteamVR Home Beta at startup.

4. Then go to ''Applications'' and check "Override Global Setting and Disable" for motion smoothing.

5. Also go to Video and disable Motion Smoothing as that will seriously affect your fps which is the negative of what it is mean't to do.

6. Then just go to Developer and make sure the vive is in direct mode as i read that after the update the vive has went to onboard graphics rather than gpu so just double check that.

There you have it, a temp fix for the absolute bull of an update, i went from constant frame drops and freezes every 2 seconds back to what it was like around September with smooth fps and no input lag or any lag at all so hoping this works for you lot.

Bro that helped a ton. I thought it was the Nvidia Driver because it started after the driver update, but it never fixed after reverting it. This helped tremendously, thank you.

I have no words how to thank You. I have RTX 2070 and I was ready to assume that my headset is faulty. Now it's running like a dream. Thank You!:lunar2019grinningpig:

I have the same problem! I'm missing the whole "Applications" section, for example. Only the basic Motion Smoothing setting is available to me.
