[WMR] Motion controllers constantly losing tracking
PLEASE HELP.

Whenever I'm using WMR, the controllers seem to constantly turn off and on, I have tried changing the batteries and it lead to no success, this is a really frustrating problem as it seems to happen at random, sometimes I can go a good 10 minutes before my controllers switch on and off (usually takes about 10 seconds to do so), or it can happen every 30 seconds, if anybody has a solution to this please help.

Things to note:

For about the first week of owning the WMR headset, everything was working fine, but then this problem started and I had a warranty on it so I assumed it was just broken and got a new one for free, however the the problem didn't go away

I have tried multiple times re-installing Steam VR as well as the WMR portal

The controllers DO NOT lose the light on the controllers, so they technically aren't switched off, but the controllers in game completely disappear and a pause menu will come up (detecting that the controllers have been disconnected)

The issue isn't Steam VR exclusive

The frequency of the issue doesn't change from where I keep my controllers (for example they could just "disable" when right in front of the cameras or they could do it while out of the view of the headset)

Sorry for the long post but any help to fix this would be appreciated.

Are you using built in Bluetooth? Or a usb dongle. A dongle is usually better and most problems like this are due ti Bluetooth issues. If you are using a dongle and it still has these issues, try using it in a usb 2.0 port. The powered 3.0 ports can also cause connectivity issues

I agree with Jamie, it defintely sounds like Bluetooth issues you're having. Until I ordered a dongle I found turning my computer around to have the back facing out helped while I was waiting for my dongle to come in. USB 2.0 ports are usually on the back of computers so if you buy a dongle you should pick up a short USB 2.0 extenstion so you can move your dongle out front

I am using the built in Bluetooth, and I don't have any 2.0 USB ports, only 3 3.0 USB ports.

A dongle on a short extension to move it away from otther USB devices would likely still help. Did you try turning your computer around as a test? You could also try removing as many nearby USB devices as you can for the test to confirm that is your problem

what fixed mine was something stupid. dont have the mirror display up on your monitor screen. bring a window up like google chrome or a folder screen and make it maxed so nothing is displayed. It was like my video card was drawing to much power for both screen and it made my bluetooth[or something...] bug out.
