SteamVR without a controller ?
Hello, I have an HTC Vive Pro with a single base station. No controller.
My intention is only to play a VR flight simulator so I did not buy the controllers.
Now I find I cannot navigate or choose anything in Steam without an HTC controller ?
Is there anything I can do with this setup with only my mouse/keyboard and joystick ?
Thanks for any information.

Launch steamvr from desktop and make sure it can see your headset. Controllers are used to reset seating position which comes in handy.

Sometimes, elite dangerous for example, you can use mouse and keyboard to navigate through the menu system. You can also bind like my f2 key to reset headset position.

This also works for project cars 2. For these 2 games, you need to bind reset headset position ingame.

I have not tried other games.

Yeah I can't get my regular vive to track or work at all without both base stations, and gamepds sometimes work but sometimes they don't do what you need them to. Did you really shell out money on a vive pro without doing some research into how it would work?

thanks. Is there another form of cheaper controller I can buy to give the same interface/menu control access as a Vive controller ?
Remembering I only need a controller to navigate the SteamVR and certain other menus. I do not want the HTC controller for actual VR game control. Thanks kindly.
