HTC Vive headset detected but not being tracked

Just wanna say first that im not a super techy guy so bare with me ^^;

I had my Vive for about 2 weeks now and it worked perfectly fine. didn't have too much issue setting it up.
I didn't play with it at all yesterday, worked fine the day before but today it doesn't wanna turn on correctly. Steam VR says it is detected but not tracking and does not give me any error code for troubleshooting. I tried reinstalling drivers, updating my graphic drivers, unplugging the link box completly and plugging it back in. I have no lead on how to fix this

Only thing i can say is that sometimes the light on the left side is green but then turns red when i start it up. Sometimes it stays red when i shut down VR. nothing comes up in the goggles except for black and the right lense has a very light flicker every few seconds.

I have a GTX 1070 graphics card.
