Moreover I unpacked my Index on Monday and don't know how to contact support for a return ! Steam is selling software and has no return channel...
"Hello,
Please try loosening and tightening the Audio Arm screw using a T6 driver (if possible). If it doesn't fix your issue, try removing the audio arm and gently wiping down or blowing off the contacts.
In order to narrow down where the fault is occurring, can you also take the working speaker off and swap their positions?
Once they're swapped, does the problem happen on the same side?
Let us know your results and please also provide a serial number of your headset , located by the left lens, on the temple, and starts with the letter A.

I had a RMA for the full headset. My problem is now solved. Huge thank you to Valve support ! More user friendly than HTC one !
