Report a translation problem
then i went to the "my pc" section of the file explorer and searched steamvr and deleted everything that came up
In the steamVR little popup card on your desktop click settings, nav to controller > manage controller bindings for ... and there is an obese switch which toggles between default and custom.
(VR is still an incredibly frustrating experience)
I've got a unique problem, this option is currently set to "Custom" but refuses to switch back to "default"
As in the button will not switch when clicked, and this is only for the one game im trying to change (all others are fine)
Clicking "activate" manually in the PC user interface for SteamVR does nothing too, its like the default bindings are refusing to activate.
No error message is shown, is there by chance a log file i can check to see if there are errors being reported?
I used the legacy bindings UI (on PC, not in VR) and removed all custom bindings, but at this stage the default bindings would still not activate.
After multiple attempts at "resetting to default" and restarting SteamVR & my PC, it just suddenly worked. No specific action seemed to lead to it, so i really dont know what the solution was.
I'm a developer and deal with SteamVR bindings outside of Steam, so chances are this was a unique issue that arose from conflicting bindings (local vs on Steam) so im sure something was just going wrong in the background
NOTE:
You can also access the old binding UI by navigating to SteamVR Settings > Controllers > Show Old Binding UI and selecting the application having issues from that list.
Bro, you're my hero
In what way is @Franks your hero? Are you being sarcastic? Is the solution simply the big default/custom toggle?
I'm having the same issue but in the step 3 the bindings isn't showing
