SteamVR says Oculus software out of date just after update.

So the Oculus app informed me there was an firmware update for my Rift S. I installed it and now SteamVR just says "Your Oculus software appears to be out of date. Please install the latest version". My theory is that Valve have yet to implement the new firmware into SteamVR thus giving me this message since it does not recognise the new firmware.

Could someone with a Rift S please try SteamVR with the new firmware and tell me if im alone in this or not? Would hate if the new firmware somehow broke something in my headset :/

I'm running SteamVR 1.5.9, Oculus app 1.38.0 and Rift S firmware 1.7.1

I just got my rift s set everything up with new software and I went to start steam vr and was hit with the same prior.

Managed to solve it. I reinstalled SteamVR and Oculus and then rebooted the pc. Everything seems to be working now. SteamVR is still 1.5.9 so Valve did not update while i did this. So just reinstall and reboot if anyone else runs in to this problem.
