Rift S controllers getting stuck
I've noticed with SteamVr my rift s left touch controller and sometimes the right will bug out. I will lose all analog function. My stick wil get stuck in a direction and the trigger and grip will not register. It started happening in No Man's Sky in the middle of an intense dogfight and I became a sitting duck. Thought it was the buggy experimental branch but no it is steam vr and all my favorite games have been doing this.

I opted out of the beta and back in, no help. unplugged and replugged, restarted oculus, deleted OTT. I can't find an answer.

I've had a lot of bugs with my rift S and I would happily recommend a WMR over it even if the tracking and the controllers are better on the rift S

EDIT: Can work if rolled back from Oculus beta I'm just giving up on my rift S as it has been bugs after bugs. Thank you all who figured it out.

I have the same problem with SteamVR lately. Didn't had any problems with tracking or getting stuck with Oculus Rift S. But Right now when I am in VR my left controller dosen't work. In Oculus overlay it is working just fine. So in isn't Oculus problem, but Steam VR. Unplugging, reinstalling Steam Vr and applying Beta version dosen't help. Whаt should we do with that? 2 days ago everything worked perfectly....

Are you using the beta branch of the Oculus runtime or the release branch? Do you see this bug in any Oculus native games (besides the overlay)?

I am using Beta one. I see this problem in every VR game that I start via SteamVR a not via Oculus. For example in VRChat when I try to move, my avatar starts to run in circles by itself, and I am not pressing any buttons. Right controller in working fine but with the left one is the issue. When you open SteamVR settings in game you can see sometimes, that controllers r stuck together. And this is not happening in Oculus overlay.

It's super annoying I've actually gone back to my old dell WMR because I'm tired of this.

I don't have another VR heatset, so I am pretty sad, that this happened. 2 days ago was fine, and today I wanted to play and this happened. ;(

You can get a WMR for a decent price the odysee+ is a good one but still $300. But Just save for an index if you can.

If i'm correct it's oculus trying to encourage people to buy from their store.

I also use the beta version of the oculus, I have noticed problems with triggers as with the left controller and least of all with the right controller in vrchat, beat saber games. In the Oculus rift environment, this problem does not recur.

This seems to be a common issue when using the latest BETA PTC 1.41 of the Oculus runtime. I alerted Oculus of the issue through their official Feedback tool (and included logs). Opting out of the BETA 1.41 and returning to Oculus 1.40 fixes the issues.

I DO NOT experience this controller bug with Oculus native titles.

However, I'm still don;t know if it's an issue with the Oculus runtime or an incompatibility with OpenVR. Hopefully it gets addressed before 1.41 goes on the main software branch.

I had the same issue and reverting from the beta 1.41 Oculus branch back to 1.40 worked for me.

Thanks to all, will try to fix it

I have the same issue. Experienced it in Skyrim VR. Only a restart of the app fixes the issue but it comes back again pretty quickly. Does not appear to affect Oculus software. I will try rolling back the Oculus beta.

I've seen some controller oddities in Oculus purchased Virtual Desktop like double clicking with the trigger doesn't work as intended, nor does click and drag, I'm forced to use the A button.

However I've not seen this controller lockup happen in Oculus native apps (not that I have many).

Even Job Simulator purchased from Steam, which has always worked like a dream, is affected.

I'm using the Release edition of SteamVR.
