Is a Nvidia GTX 950M enough ?
I'm planning to buy an htc vive soon and I want to know if my pc is ready , I got an nvidia GTX 950M , an I5-6300HQ CPU , 8 go of ram and i'm on windows 10

and how do I change cpu , aparently I've got 2 on my pc ,an intel hd graphics 530 and an Nvidia GeForce GTX 950M , how do I choose one ?

No. Minimum is the 1050TI. You wont be happy. The vive is even worse in the minimum specs than the Oculus.

Your PC isn't even near ready. I'm guessing it's a laptop?

What you want, for gaming in VR, is a GTX 1070 (or equiv.). Anything below that will be a compromise but you can go lower. Much lower with a WMR headset but a gaming minumum would be 1050Ti or 970 and even then you'll wish you had better. Anything over a GTX1070 is very nice to have, and will put off upgrading for a good while (I have a GTX1080).

Mobile chipsets with the current 10xx series are just as powerful as desktop versions (but throttle due to heat usually). 9xx mobile chipsets are lower powered versions compared to the desktop equiv.

You need to upgrade if you want to game with VR and you'll want a lot of power.
