A way of reducing your so-called "gaming" PC to a juddering mess, before the motherboard and old generation GPU burst into flames ;)

It does work on vr. I think only because they make resolution low so they can lower minimum specification on graphic cards so more people can buy rift or vive with crappie graphic card like gtx 1050ti. With out super sampling in vr it looks blurry so you really need at least 1x super sampling I like min 1.5 up to 2x to be happy with picture quality. If you use super sampling you need a super computer to run it. I have i7 6700k with gtx1080 and I can only get 1.5 to 2x super sampling before it a juddering mess. If you have 1080p monitor I wouldn't bother with it but in vr its a must, definitely in car games with out it everything in distance is just a blur with its still blurry but not as much. Hopefully newer car games made with vr in mind will be better because some games made for vr only don't look as blurry as project cars etc which weren't mad for vr

GTX 1080 can not do 2.0 for games unless its a really weak game/graphic wise or you have repo turn on. when you have repo on it means the game will run at 45 fps when your game isnt keeping 90 fps.
People need to stop giving false infos out , and those who recieve the info , keep spreading it like wild fire

false info what a ♥♥♥♥. i use that asw 45 time warp thing thats what its for why would i not use it can max games and have 2x super sampling and on most games you would not notice the difference. people like you need to stop giving out false info. just because vive cant with it software. assetto corsa can get 2x, project cars 1.5 all with high settings dont give a sh.. what you say 45 time warp works great super smooth im happy with it on and thats all that matters.

Thats not whats it for, its for when you get the some frame drops here and there so you dont notice any fps drops when you go below 90 fps, not for you to make your game run at 45 fps the whole damn time

People say asw time warp not as good as 90fps true but on most games it run smooth only game I play its a bit iffy is project cars but if you ignore the odd flicker in the stands its ok. But on dirt rally and assetto Corsa and my other games it's perfect. Would be nice to have a locked 90fps but I prefer to have good amount of super sampling on than a locked 90fps. Seriously on most games you would find it hard to tell the difference between aws and 90fps but I'm someone that's happy with 60fps on my monitor. I use it from oculus debug tool I don't use steam vr as steam vr makes everything judder can't find away to run steam vr with out oculus home running at same time. Not being a fan boy or anything but have heard aws is much better on rift than it is on vive I dont know this as not had a vive but that what most people say. Anyway can't see why people on your link say asw makes things judder not for me.

And yes I do have it locked to 45fps the hole damn time I think its better than it going up and down all the time. Could have a locked 90fps if I have ss on x1 but I'm more happy with x2 ss and have it locked to 45fps the hole damn time. I prefer higher ss than locked 90fps. I'm having fun playing this way and things look better with the extra ss on. Thanks for your concern on the matter.
Lay Z Aug 16, 2017 @ 1:15am
you cant tell the difference, or you just dont care , cause playing at 45 fps is not the right way to play VR , the sweet spot is 90 fps for a reason, why VR recommend at least a gtx 970 which can just barely run at a constant 90 fps. There are plenty of other reddit links out there about SS , i just rather not waste time looking it up and posting it.

Maybe that works for you, but for most people that will be motion sickness inducing. ASW, etc. are just emergency measures, not supposed to be used permanently.

i dont know what your on about in project cars and assetto corsa play for hours its smooth if it wasnt i would turn down super sampling and lock it to 90fps. had a pimax 4k first that made me fill sick abit and that was locked to 60fps but with rift can play all day. it may be emergency measure but its a good bit of software that lets me turn up ss abit more. other people must do this someone said they were running 4x ss on a gtx 1080ti and thats only 25percent fast than a normal gtx1080 so cant see how else they can run that much ss.

lol, dude, cause someone said they can doesnt mean its true, how many people need to tell you you cant and not suppose to till it gets into your head?

L.o.l. you again. Ok I will try 90fps for a few days when I got back of holiday but don't hold you breathe.

That statement alone tells us all that you shouldnt be giving any advice , how can you not have played a game in 90 fps, and tell people that 45 fps is fine?
