Other VR games by Steam are working perfectly without Stram VR.
Steam VR is really not active application in my Steam Library. I played several Steam based VR games without even thinking about Steam VR.
Do you have any procedure to activate Oculus Rift (DK2) with Steam VR?
DK2 is just working fine for all Oculus store apps, War Thunder ...
Yesterday, I downloaded IL2 BoS in the basis of VR support. Then requested for a full refund.
I have Oculus Home as well and all apps on it working fine with DK2.
I really do not know why SteamVR does not work with DK2.
Hmm .. that's weird. I have a DK2 here too and it works fine :/ I would love to tell you why yours won't but I didn't do anything special apart from installingthe oculus drivers and SteamVR.
Thank you for trying to help.
Anyway, I reported this to Steam Support and waiting their reply.
Start oculus home,turn on DK2.
making sure it is on in the headset.
start steam.
click VR in top right corner, confirm in headset.
should then see grey room with gridlines and the sensor.
Start Oculus Home, then turn on DK2
Make sure it is on in the headset
Start up Steam
Click on the VR
But I get error 1114, with Steam reporting there is an error with the Oculus Runtime installation.
I tried installing the Oculus software again, but it reported everything was set up correctly, and I can use Oculus Home just fine, so I don't know what Steam VR's problem is now.
