Really? Xbox controller instructions during the tutorial only?
How hard is it to "Press ".$ControlJump->display." to jump" instead of having the hard coded xbox instruction. It makes those of us with the game on PC who don't feel that shelling out $50 for a rather crappy ergonomic design is very logical, when keyboard and mouse work just fine, feel like second class users.

It is simply laziness that leads to such shameless porting efforts. If you can view the controlls in the setup screen, you can just as easily dynamically write the tutorial buttons pressed for the actions. Instead you coded up a whole new display at the begining warning us that if we were'nt going to be part of the xbox360 controller own crowd, we better deal with it and study the instructions before hand, because the tutorial is going to be wholly irrelevant and if anything further confusing to those who don't own the xbox360 controller.

This should be a text book case of the type of lazy and minor details that game devs do to marginalize their secondary/tertiarysupported operating system. Literally, 5 minutes shoving in the same display dialogues and var calls used to populate the control view/edit screen with the active control set.

To address a couple things. The Keyboard works fine, but the controller works better.

And the Xbox controller is FAR from a crappy controller. It's something most every PC gamer should have. It works great, sticks are near perfect, (no matter how good you are the keyboard doesn't supplement the sticks on a controller for a driving game, or the d-pad for a fighting game), and the buttons are laid out near perfect. Also since you seem to be spouting a lot of nonsense, you can get a wired 360 controller that works on PC for as low as $20 new.

Now with that said, I fully agree that they should do a proper port and put in the keyboard commands during the tutorial, but you're very wrong about the controller in most everything you posted about it.

I have to agree, the xbox 360 controller is the best I've had so far. I'd whish I'd bought it in the beginning instead of trying out others just because they where cheaper. I had some saitek's but non of them had so precise analog sticks like the Xbox 360.

Now...on the other side I have to agree, that this doesn't mean that they can skip a proper dynamic keybinding.
