ID card bug?

Citizen came to the gate with just an entry permit and no ID card, so I go to call him out on it and it says "matching data". I figured it was a bug so I let him in and got in trouble for not having him show me his ID card, even though the game said it's okay he doesn't have one.

Anybody else have this issue?

Maybe you highlighted wrong things...

Did you highlight his face or something? Should be the space underneath (how do you call it... not a table, not a shelf...)

All entrants from Arstotzka (and only entrants from Arstotzka) must have an identity card. If an Arstotzkan citizen does not have their ID card, use Inspection Mode to highlight both "Arstotzkan citizens must have an ID card" in the rulebook and the counter in front of the entrant.

I did use the counter to call it, but it kept saying matching data. I decided to restart the game and try again. Hoping this time it will work.

you shouldn't get matching data on a counter crossed with the rule book. it should say no correlation or watever

After restarting it the issue disappeared and did what it was supposed to. God that's weird.
