Remove the auto-pause when opening Steam overlay please.

I need to be able to browse forums and do stuff while I wait for things to happen in the game.

The AI is lazy as hell anyway bro. I went and smoked and smoked a J right after starting the Hokkaido mission, I was out for 20/25 minutes and came back. I figured a lot would have changed, I wanted things to be different on that playstyle and has specifally let 20 minutes play out. Guess what? Yoko was easy to find. She walks to the garden, to the spa, to the sauna, to the garden, to the spa, to the sauna. If you watch her, she will literally go to each location OVER AND OVER and say the EXACT same thing OVER AND OVER.. Even having the EXACT SAME CONVERSATION on the phone, over and over. The ai paths are pathetically small and simple, so trust me, you're not missing out being unable to let the game run its course. 9/10 events are triggered by your being at the location or you doing something else anyway!!!

While that is certainly true, the point is that once we replay a mission or load up a save file after a mistake, we don't want to hear the "EXACT SAME CONVERSATION" nor we don't want to wait for NPCs to walk into a specified location because it's time consuming so it would be convenient if we can multitask on our PC, again.

Yes pausing on focus loss should be a toggleable option. There's definitely been times where I just need to wait around and I'd rather check on steam community stuff. Like these threads :P

Please read this, IOI! I don't need any update to Hitman 2016, Hitman II and Hitman III but this one. Oh well, you could actually make the 2 sequels play as good as 2016 does (because it was better).

I hear ya, it is annoying needing to just sit there in a box or closet waiting for the target to just slowly walk into place. There should be an option to disable "pause on focus loss" and quick save/load buttons would go a long way.

I didn't have a decent smartphone back when I first posted this.
Even now that I do, phones are way too inconvenient and slow.
Takes about a year to type a simple message.

The worst thing is, the game didn't use to pause when you brought up the overlay a few years back, this is a thing they intentionally changed, for zero reason whatsoever.

I was mostly talking to the guy in August of this year, and I guess depending on where you live phones could be sort of useless but you could just load videos onto your phone and have them ready to start/pause.
