After that, I literally never bothered with any other grind event, and literally never felt like I was missing on something actually worth the time...
Just ignore events, they are simply not worth it
True Events are absurd and only for WT addicts... but then just ignore Events like I do
It's not necessary to play the game... it just gives extra stuff to the addicts for their time. I'm not going to deny them their extra stuff if it doesn't bother me playing
What I did was hold on to the rewards until they accumulated a lot of value, sold them, used the proceeds to buy a half dozen newer event vehicles while they were cheap. Wait for those to accumulate value. Wash rinse repeat
Now if I want an event vehicle I just wait for it to hit the market and sell a couple of vehicles from my stockpile. All it takes is patience and a starting point, whether it’s doing an event or buying a cheaper market vehicle and just sitting on it
Work for your freebies, stop trying to be entitled to free stuff that you don't want to work for.
This post gives that vibe, as do all the others complaining about actually working for stuff...
"I am a bad player" then get better as a player.
"I am a casual" Sounds like a you problem, become less casual.
"I am new" Okay, then you likely won't even miss the event vehicles, as you probably have more than enough to unlock outside of Events...
Gaijin doesn't OWE you a freebie, and them even making events with vehicles is fun, free, and a privilege. Not a right. The one removed from reality is you.
The thing that removed you, was entitlement imho.
It's not that he doesn't want to grind for it, it's that it's too much to do reasonably. Not everyone is chronically online and has 10+ hours a day to burn on events for some pixels. That's different from entitlement. He isn't asking to be given a free vehicle because he doesn't want to grind for it. He is asking to lower the requirements, most of which are completely unreasonable. You also didn't read the comments from long term players above. They pointed out that events have gotten worse and aren't worth it anymore. But that's cool, go insult someone for having a reasonable opinion.
You can justify this all you want, I identified it as entitlement, and a non-issue.
Maybe just not be entitled, in my opinion. Why lower the requirements, they are only too high for someone who wants to get free ♥♥♥♥ and not work for it.
Events are just a monetization scheme. "Oh you almost got the thing you wanted by investing a lot of time? Whelp it's running out now... you still could buy the missing things in order to get it... but you don't want that... right???"
I'm fairly convinced you don't play many games if you think events here are well implemented ._.
Assuming something I never said, is not an argument really.
The argument is more that you don't seem to really understand what events are normally for in videogames
It's fine if you are good with these ones, but pretending they are good shows a bit of a lack of experience
So you want an event to be over for you with the rewards as soon as possible?
Yeah, doesn't seem like you get what events are for, more so than I do not.
I play tons of different video games, where I play for a 1% drop chance once a week... For years. Where events are multi month endeavors, not over in a single week.
I grind out 99s for breakfast, both casually and in sweaty mode.
I had games where an event was a single hour, and you had to grind the entire hour to get the reward.
They aren't good conceptually, but the time to grind it, is a non-issue. I am not saying these are epic-level events, with good stories, and lore, and full of goodies/loot to get.
I am saying that what OP is complaining about, is seriously not an issue.
Complaining about that 120K, when other vehicles take FAR longer just by themselves, is just entitled in my opinion.
I am not the one complaining here, burden of proof is on the complainer to substantiate why something is bad. I saw what he had to say and concluded he was just entitled, and lazy in my opinion.
Being bad, or new, is no excuses to want to dumb down, and make things easier. Nor is being a casual, that would just degrade so many games, if we pandered to them. Quality would go down, not up.
I want events to be that, events, I already have a full time job, I don't need another
I don't want events to "end as soon as possible" but to be reasonable, for instance, one entire hour for a reward is reasonable, multiple hours, capped every couple days, so you have to stay in the game multiple hours a day through a series of consecutive days, it's not.
My gripe with WT events is not the ammount of points that it costs to get the rewards, but the time gate on it, some people can play 12 hours nonstop one day, and maybe can't play anymore for 3 days after
If the time cap was removed it would solve a lot of issues people has with this game events
If not, why bother grinding them all, just to sell them? When, in years when the prize went up, at a time when you are probably not even playing the game anymore? Just check some event vehicles on the market, some sell for just a few dozen Euros, and some sell for less than 10 Euros - and very few sell for hundreds or thousands.
Reality check, will any of these 4 vehicles ever get a high prize tag? I very much doubt it, none of those 4 is unique, 3 out of 4 are copy/paste and one is a Rank I French (!!) plane...
