japan ground RB br is abit bad

i dont get why japans tanks are sush a high br. The chi nu, chi he and chi ha kai seens like they need down teirs compaired to the german counter parts like pz III J1. they got the same armour and gun with the same speed i dont get why it is a higher BR ik german mains are bad but still it feels unjust the same with the USA 3.3 sherman same gun and speed with better armour and has a stablizer at 3.3

i played a sharman before and i love it but maybe down teir ♥♥♥ abit by 0.3

It's the usual effect of Gaijin style of balancing. They mostly balance the game around how well players do on average in a particular tank. If they do too well, they put it at a higher br. If they do too poorly, they put it lower in br. And we all know that some countries attract way more new players like Germany, USA and USSR while others attract veterans like Japan, France and Italy. That's why French and Japan are so often screwed with tanks at a higher br than they should be. Their players being better than average, their tanks tend to be uptiered in updates despite their stats and capabilities suggesting otherwise.

A very good example for that faulty balance method are the BR placement of the Panzer IV F2 (3.3), G and H (3.7) compared to the Chi-Nu II (4.3) and both Chi-To´s (4.7).
A full BR difference despite being very similar in overall performance.

Yeah Japanese tanks get overtiered quite badly. I'd recommend just playing them at 3.7 until you unlock the very good 6.3 lineup. I spaded the 4.7s and even the 5.0 and they aren't worth playing.

As a Japan ground enjoyer i can agree 75% of vehicles are too high in BR and should be dropped by .3 to .7 and in the rare case a full BR. Granted this if for 8.7 and below. (i refuse to play higher then that for any nation).

yeah the chi-tos and chi-ri II sould drop as the chi-to's are just slightly upgunned pzr4's with worse armor and the chi-ri II is exactly as bad but it a even bigger and easier target. (granted is does have a 2 round autoloader).

I would like to remind everyone that they put vehicles up or down BRs based on how well they are performing and it wouldn't take much for really good players playing a meh or ok tank regularly to drag it up in B.R. a bit. I just play them sometimes because they look goofy even though I do terrible in them. I like my low BR amphibious light tank XD

You're helping increasing the probability that they get a lower BR. Keep up the good work and be proud of yourself! =)

My Japanese low tier lineup is as follows. M24 Chaffee, So-Ki, Ki-61, P-51-c, B7A2, B7A2 Homare and the Na-To. Almost every match is just me driving the M24 like a madman, racking up spot assists for lower plane costs until I can basically just CAS/CAP the rest of the match because the Ki-61 .50 cals might as well be 30mms because they rip ♥♥♥♥ up.

It works. I sometimes get plane SP costs so low that a fully loaded plane is like 58 SP.
